London Congestion Charge - BVRLA and TfL warn of Christmas conmen

TfL is reminding motorists to ensure they use an official channel to pay the London Congestion Charge. The authority can now refuse payments from copycat websites or other unauthorised parties, and will be introducing a new smartphone app following a six week public consultation held earlier this year. the BVRLA also advise that the Congestion Charge will be suspended for a week over the Christmas period, including the four weekdays between Christmas Day and New Year's Day. From Thursday 25 December until Thursday 1 January 2015 (inclusive) there will be no charge for driving in the Congestion Charging zone. The daily charge will apply from Friday 2 January 2015.
